Just a reminder, with only hours to go, that there will be the live auction fundraiser tonight, Friday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church, located at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Alberta Drive.
Everyone is invited, there’s no cost to get into the auction and you’re encouraged to bring donated items for auction when you attend.
Proceeds from the auction fundraiser will benefit residents without homes, resources or thermostat controls; specifically they will support the Centre of Hope’s fourth annual Subzero Challenge, which has already raised more than half of its $40,000 goal.
Funds raised through the Subzero Challenge enables the Centre of Hope to provide services to their patrons on weekends and holidays.
One big ticket auction item tonight is a brand new John Deer BBQ; another is a framed, signed, reproduction, #52 of 175, of an acrylic painting entitled "Alberta Bounty" by wildlife artist Darren Haley.
The framed reproduction has a certificate of authenticity attached. (See Darren Haley’s works at www.darenhaleyart.ca).
